Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 6:00pm in the School Board Education Center located on Lake Street in Wise for the purpose of receiving  public comments on a Proposed Amendment to the Meals & Beverage Tax Ordinance.  See the proposed Amended Ordinance here.

NOTICE

The Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 6:00pm in the School Board Education Center located on Lake Street in Wise for the purpose of receiving public comments on a change to Wise County's FY 2022-2023 budget in the amount of approximately $1,889,475, which is an amount greater than 1% of the adopted Wise County FY 2022-2023 budget.  Approximately $1/873,750 of this increase is due to projects related to Community Development Block Grants, $7,980 related to VCEDA grants, and $7,745 for Clerk of the Court reimbursement

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Education Center meeting room located on Lake Street in Wise to receive citizens’ comments on a proposed amendment to an Ordinance Recognizing Certain Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue Personnel as Official and Integral Parts of the Safety Program of Wise County, Virginia adopted by the Wise County Board of Supervisors on the 29th day of December 1972.

Said ordinance amendment is available on the County website (www.wisecounty.org) for public view.
