NOTICE
The Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 6:00pm in the School Board Education Center located on Lake Street in Wise for the purpose of receiving public comments on a change to Wise County's FY 2022-2023 budget in the amount of approximately $2,740,386, which is an amount greater than 1% of the adopted Wise County PY 2022-2023 budget. Approximately $339,769 of this increase is due to grants received for various departments, $267,262 for year end reconciliation costs with the regional jail, $857,500 related to Community Development Block Grant projects, $416,438 related to capital purchase for landfill operations, $770,000 related to demolition and capital costs, $66,320 related to Insurance claim recoveries, and $23,097 related to various other misc. reimbursements and projects.
