Meet the GIO
The
office of Geographic Information Sciences is responsible
for the acquisition, analysis, and dissemination of geographical
information in connection with the county's Geographic Information
System. The Geographic Information Sciences department
exists to establish a uniform standard of geographic information
throughout all the local government departments and offices
as well as disseminate information to these entities and
the public.

Let's Start A Geocaching Club!
Wise County is sponsoring the creation of a Geocaching club that will invite and challenge all classes of Geocachers to travel the Appalachian region and discover various tourists attractions on their geocaching adventures! For more information, see the Full Notice.
To help promote this new Wise County Geocachers Club, Wise County is sponsoring a contest to design the logo for the club. The logo winner will be chosen by members of the Wise County Geocaching Club. Simply complete the entry form and draw your logo design in the box at the bottom of the form.
