Statement of Value Notices have been sent to the citizens of Wise County, which reflect the new assessments for 2009.  These values are derived from a scientific methodology based on the fair market value, and are established in accordance with accepted mass appraisal practices.  For more information regarding the Reassessment process, please visit our Reassessment page.

Press Release from the Virginia Dept. of Taxation states the use of E-filing Income Tax Returns is on the rise and it allows taxpayers to get their refunds more quickly.
