Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a recessed meeting
on April 18,
2000, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room
located in the Wise County courthouse.

RE: COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S POSITION
Chairman
Adkins stated that the purpose of the recessed meeting is
to go into closed session to review applications
for the position of County Administrator.
Administrator
Scott and Attorney Mullins were asked not to participate
in the closed session.
IN
RE: CLOSED SESSION
A motion
was made by Jeff Salyers,
seconded by Doug Mullins, to go into closed session to review
applications and discuss prospective candidates for the County
Administrator's position as permitted by section 2.1-344A.1
of the Code of Virginia.
The motion was unanimously approved.
After
a lengthy closed session, a motion was made by Betty Cornett,
seconded by Doug Mullins, to reconvene its regular meeting.
The motion was unanimously approved.

RE: RESOLUTION
/ CLOSED SESSION
A
motion was made by Donnie Dowell, seconded by Doug Mullins,
to approve the resolution verifying matters discussed while
in closed session.
The motion was unanimously approved by roll call
vote.
