Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Special Called
Meeting on Thursday, February 17, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in
the Board of Supervisors meeting room located in the Wise
County courthouse.
The following were present:

Adkins advised that this was a special called meeting by
two Board members for the purpose of going into closed session
to discuss the position of County Administrator as permitted
by section 2.1-344A.1 of the Code of Virginia.
He asked for a motion to go into closed session.

RE: CLOSED
SESSION
A
motion was
made by Donnie Dowell, seconded by Doug Mullins, to go into
closed session to discuss the position of County Administrator
as permitted by section 2.1-344A.1 of the Code of Virginia.
The motion was unanimously approved.
After
a lengthy closed session, a motion was made by Doug Stallard,
seconded by Jeffrey Salyers, to reconvene the meeting.
The motion was unanimously approved.

A
motion was made by Douglas Stallard, seconded by Donnie
Dowell, to approve the resolution verifying matters discussed
while in closed session.
The motion was unanimously approved by roll call
vote.

ADMINISTRATOR POSITION
A
motion was made by Doug Stallard to re-advertise for the
County Administrator's position for an additional fourteen
(14) days for the purpose of receiving additional applications.
Jeffrey Salyers seconded the motion.
The motion was unanimously approved.
ADJOURN
A
motion was made by Doug Stallard, seconded by Jeffrey Salyers,
to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m.
The motion was unanimously approved.
