The Wise County Board of Supervisors met in a Special Called Meeting on February 3, 2000, at 5:45 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room located in the Wise County courthouse.  The following were present:

Honorable Robert Adkins - Chairman

Honorable Virginia Meador -Vice-Chair

Honorable Betty Cornett

Honorable Douglas Mullins

Honorable Edgar Mullins

Honorable Douglas Stallard

Honorable Donnie Dowell

Honorable Jeffrey Salyers - members of said Board and

Shannon C. Scott-Acting County Administrator

Karen Mullins-County Attorney

Annette Underwood - Executive Secretary

Chairman Adkins advised that a special called meeting had been requested by two Board members for the purpose of  changing the regular Board meeting  from February 10, 2000 to another date.

IN RE:  CHANGE OF MEETING DATE FOR FEBRUARY

Chairman Adkins noted that the February 10 Board meeting was in conflict with the meeting  of The Virginia County Board Chairmen's Institute that Doug Stallard and possibly himself would be attending.  He asked if the Board would be willing to change the Board meeting to allow them to attend this meeting.

A motion was made by Jeffrey Salyers, seconded by Virginia Meador, to change the February 10 Board meeting to February 8, 2000 at 6:00 p.m.

There was some discussion among members that February  8 was a conflict with other meetings.

After further discussion, Donnie Dowell made a substitute motion to change the February 10th meeting to Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at 6:00 p.m.  The motion was unanimously approved

ADJOURN

A motion was made by Doug Stallard, seconded by Jeffrey Salyers, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was unanimously approved.
